Beckrow To report a burned out street light problem click HERE The Public Services Department of Richland Township is responsible for maintaining all the infrastructure for the Township. The Water and Sewer System, Township buildings including the office, fire station, the hall, storage buildings and the grounds for all the buildings are all maintained by this department. Water/Sewer Service: A form must be completed for all new and/or changes to the water and sewer accounts at the Richland Township Administration Building, 1180 North Hemlock Road. Water and sewer is billed quarterly based on usage due by the 20th with late fees added after the due date. For residential customers water is $2.00 per thousand gallons; ready to serve fees are $39.17 per quarter; sewer is $38.80 (under 10,000 gallons of water used) or $3.88 per thousand (over 10,000 gallons of water used). Compost Site Hours Richland Township brush and compost site is located behind the Richland Township Cemetery in the 15000 Block of Gratiot Road. The brush and compost site will be open: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4
p.m.; 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 10 to 2 p.m.
Refuse Service Richland Township's waste disposal service serves all single family residences with curbside collection of trash and recyclables. (This service is funded by a special assessment on your property tax statement.) Collection day is each Thursday with recyclable pick up every other Thursday. When a major holiday falls on a Monday, disposal service will be a day later. Two large items may be placed for pick up per week. Each dwelling was provided with an initial recycling bin. When moving, the recycling bin should remain at this particular address. Additional bins may be purchased at the Township Administration Office for $7.50 each.
