RICHLAND TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY, OCTOBER 19TH, 2009 MEMBERS PRESENT: Brian Frederick, Acting Secty. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Clark called the special meeting of the Richland Township Planning Commission to order at 7:30 P.M. with the Pledge to the Flag. PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING: The special meeting was requested by Ron Schauman for Mid Michigan Medical to review a site plan presented by Schauman Builders for the construction of a building to house a medical office. Mr. Schauman and Zoning Administrator Rames reviewed the site plan with the Commission. Zoning Administrator Rames noted the property is Zoned C-2 Commercial, part of parcel 22-12-2-28-2005-002, 215.5 feet wide and 435 feet deep, 2.24 acres, currently owned by Richland Township. The proposed building is 4608 square feet and meets all set back requirements with exterior lighting. Access to the site will be off a new, undeveloped road. Parking spaces meet Ordinance requirements. Township sewer and water connections will be available at the site. The site plan has been reviewed and approved by Fire Chief Wade. Zoning Administrator Rames recommends approval of the site plan with the following conditions: 1) Allow access/easement to proposed Parcel A through Parcel B; 2) Tenants/Owners will be responsible for access road maintenance (snow/ice removal) to M-46 until such time when the remainder of the road is completed and accepted by the Saginaw County Road Commission; 3) proposed trees to be planted in front of the building are to be similar to neighboring property. Motion by David King, second by Matt Bray, to approve the site plan as presented by Ron Schauman for Mid Michigan Medical with the Zoning Administrators with the site plan conditions as noted above. The easement to proposed Parcel A through Parcel B will be recorded in the property deed. Unanimous vote. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Brian Frederick, second by David King, to adjourn the special meeting of the Richland Township Planning Commission. Unanimous vote. The meeting stood adjourned – 7:45 P.M.
