RICHLAND TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

October 23, 2007

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting of the Richland Township Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M by Vice Chairman Turner with the Pledge to the Flag.

ELECT CHAIRMAN: Vice Chairman Turner called for nominations for Chairman due to the resignation of Brian Bauer. Motion by Bernard Neuenfeldt, second by Dave H. Schafer, to nominate Frederick Clark as Chairman of the Planning Commission. Nominations for Chairman were closed. Frederick Clark was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Planning Commission.

Chairman Clark took the Chairman position after Election of Chairman ended.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by Dave H. Schafer, second by Bernard Neuenfeldt, the Minutes of August 22, 2007 to be approved and filed as written. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

INSPECTION REPORT: Motion by Gary Turner, second by Bernard Neuenfeldt, to receive and file the Inspection Report for the months of September and October 2007. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

ZONING ADMINISTRATORS REPORT: Jack Burd asked that the Planning Commission to adopt a Resolution, thanking Brian Bauer for his service.

NEW BUSINESS -

SITE PLAN REVIEW – R & R READY MIX: A site plan was submitted by Pumford Construction for R & R Ready Mix, Inc., 432 South Pine Street, Section 28-0208 and 28-0212. Proposed plans are to demolish a majority of the existing buildings and construct a 2,908 square foot addition to the existing warehouse building. The property is zoned M-1. The site plan was reviewed and questions were raised and answered. Motion by Gary Turner, second by Brian Frederick, to approve the presented site plan, subject to the approval of any future lighting. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

DISCUSS/SET MEETING DATE AND TIME: Motion by David H. Schafer, second by Bernard Neuenfeldt, to set meeting date and time for the first (1st) Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: John Westendorf voiced concerns of the noise generated by the fan on the elevator. Chairman Clark noted the complaint and asked Township Manager Herhold to look into the matter.

ADJOURNMENT: Motion by David H. Schafer, second by Bernard Neuenfeldt, to adjourn. Unanimous vote. Meeting adjourned – 7:35 P.M.
