The Richland Township Park Board meets the first Monday of the month, 7:00 P.M. at the Richland Township Administration Office, 1180 North Hemlock Road.  During the summer months, June through August, the Park Board meets at the Richland Township Park, 7:00 P.M., the first Monday of the month.   

 

Richland Township Recreation Plan

The Park Board developed a recreation plan to guide us for the next five years and beyond.
Proposed projects include walkways, new restroom, basketball court, additional skate park equipment, begin to asphalt the north drive off Hemlock Road.  

 

2007 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Grant Results

Richland Township Park has been awarded a LWCF development grant in the amount of $75,000.  The LWCF program is a federal program administered by the Department of Interiors National Park Service (NPS) that provides funds to the states for both state and local outdoor recreation projects.  Final grant awards for this program are made by the director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  

Improvements to the Park include:  new restroom facilities; paved path connections; fitness equipment; basketball court.   Construction started Monday, September 17th, 2007.     The project was finalized in May 2008.

  PARK PAVILION RESERVATIONS

The Richland Township Community Park currently has four pavilions for rent.  The fee must be paid in full at the Richland Township Office in order to reserve a pavilion.

Effective April 1, 2009    Rental Rates: 

Pavilion #1 -   $50.00
Pavilion #2 -   $50.00
Pavilion #3 -   $30.00
Pavilion #4 -   $40.00

Skatepark

The  skatepark is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk and remains open as long as weather permits.  This is the first phase of four to be completed in the next three to four years.  The skatepark is getting a lot of use from our citizens young and old.  Come join the fun!

 

Walk-Way

The Walk-way will be open through the winter months for your convenience.  Parking availability will be at the south parking lot as the north area will be closed. 

 

Ball Registration

The 2010 Ball Program will be operated and conducted by the Hemlock Youth Baseball & Softball.  

Ball registration forms are still available at the Richland Township Administration Building, 1180 North Hemlock Road.
