CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the Richland Township Board of Trustees was called to order by Supervisor Kreger at 7:30 P.M. with the Pledge to the Flag.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by Brian R. Frederick, second by Christine Beckrow, to approve and file Minutes of July 12, 2011 as written. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

BILLS: Motion by Christine Beckrow, second by Brian R. Frederick, to pay the bills as listed, total of $332,214.19 Roll call vote Gudaitis, Yes; Frederick, Yes; Preuss, Yes; Kreger, Yes; Beckrow, Yes. (5) yeas, (0) nays. Motion carried.

REPORTS: Motion by John Gudaitis, second by Christine Beckrow, to receive and file the following written reports: Financial/Transaction, Police/Fire, Planning, Park, Board of Review, Zoning Board of Appeals, Library and Township Manager’s. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

PUBLIC ACT 116 REQUEST - SOBIESKI:

Motion by Brian R. Frederick, second by Daniel Preuss, to approve the application as filed by David and Marilyn Sobieski to place a 39.51 acre parcel, Section 36-4001-000, into the Public Act 116 Farmland Preservation Program for a 10 year period, authorizing Clerk Beckrow to sign on behalf of Richland Township. Roll call vote Frederick, Yes; Preuss, Yes; Kreger, Yes; Beckrow, Yes; Gudaitis, Yes. (5) yeas, (0) nays. Motion carried.

SET PUBLIC HRG./MTG. – POLICE/FIRE MILLAGE RATES:

Motion by Brian R. Frederick, second by Christine Beckrow, to set the Public Hearing with special meeting following at 7:30 p.m., prior to the September 13^th regular Board meeting to establish millage rates for police and fire protection for the 2011 winter tax roll for operation during the 2012-2013 fiscal year. Unanimous vote. Motion carried.

AUDIT PROPOSAL:

Motion by John Gudaitis, second by Christine Beckrow, to accept the letter of engagement with Berthiaume & Company to provide audit services for fiscal years ending 2012, 2013 and 2014, authorizing Clerk Beckrow to sign on behalf of Richland Township. Roll call vote Preuss, Yes; Kreger, Yes; Beckrow, Yes; Gudaitis, Yes; Frederick, Yes. (5) yeas, (0) nays. Motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE: Written correspondence was received and filed.

PUBLIC COMMENT: County Commissioners Ron Scholtz and Pat Wurtzel were available for questions and comments.
