RICHLAND TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MARCH 3, 2010 MEMBERS PRESENT: Frederick Clark, Chrmn.

CALL TO ORDER: The Richland Township Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Clark with the Pledge to the Flag. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by David King, second by Matt Bray, the Minutes of February 3, 2010 be approved and filed as printed. Unanimous vote. Motion carried. INSPECTION REPORT: Motion by Bernard Neuenfeldt, second by Walter Rohn, to receive and file the Inspection Report for the month of February 2010. Unanimous vote. Motion carried. ZONING ADMINISTRATORS REPORT: Zoning Administrator Rames stated letters have been sent regarding outside "for sale" displays for wood burners on Tittabawassee Road and also lack of a sign permit regarding the same mentioned property; also working on land divisions. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. OLD BUSINESS: PROPOSED SIGN (ELECTRONIC MESSAGE) LANGUAGE CHANGES: Proposed language was submitted by Zoning Administrator Rames regarding electronic message boards. Discussion held. Motion by David King, second by Walter Rohn, approving the electronic message language as proposed, submitting the proposed language changes for a Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: PROPOSED LANGUAGE CHANGES R-1 RESIDENTIAL, USES PERMITTED BY SPECIAL USE: Zoning Administrator Rames presented language for R-1 Residential Single Family, Uses Permitted by Special Use Permit regarding roadside stands and selling products grown by the owner of the property. Discussion held. Motion by Brian Frederick, support by David King, to approve the language submitted under Special Use Permit in an R-1 Residential District adding number (7) "roadside stands selling products grown by the owner…" authorizing Zoning Administrator Rames and Manager Herhold to look at additional language concerning retail greenhouses submitting for review at a Public Hearing to be held Wednesday, April 7th at 7:00 P.M. with the regular meeting following. Unanimous vote. Motion carried. FUTURE LAND USE MAP: Zoning Administrator Rames submitted information regarding the future land use map. Zoning Administrator Rames will submit proposed revisions at the April meeting. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Bernard Neuenfeldt, second by Walter Rohn, to adjourn. Unanimous vote.
